4. Can I do eCommerce?

Yes. Your HOL Website includes the basic technologies you'll need -- like SSL and CyberCash(tm) -- to develop your own eCommerce site.

5. Do you support SSI, CGI, or SSL?

Yes, we support all of these. For more information, please see our Web Hosting Plans page.

6. How about FrontPage extensions, Active Server Pages, VBScript, etc?

We will be incorporating FrontPage extensions in the future, but it is unlikely any other Microsoft web technology will be included.

7. Do you support Cold Fusion or Real Audio/Video?

Not currently. Unless demand for either of these technologies increases significantly in the future, it is unlikely we will be incorporating them into our virtual hosting product.

8. Can you help me create my website?

We can help you with technical problems and questions regarding our servers, but we don't have a web design department and we don't provide any web consulting services.

9. What kind of webserver and operating system do you use?
10. Are you UNIX or Windows based?

We use Apache on Solaris (UNIX). Although we use UNIX-based webservers, knowledge of UNIX is not necessary, and you can use a Windows PC or a Macintosh to develop your website.

11. Do you use IP- or name-based virtual hosting?

We use name-based virtual hosting. If you need IP-based virtual hosting, please call our sales department.

12. Is there anything I'm not allowed to put on my website or use my website for?

Yes, for example, you can't use your website to illegally distribute copyrighted materials (e.g. MP3s or software that you don't have a right to share) or to send out unsolicited emails (otherwise known as "spamming"). For more detail, please see our Acceptable Use Policy. Violations of our AUP can result in cancellation of your service.

13. Does my website get backed up?

Yes. If you need a file retrieved, there may or may not be a charge. These will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
